How we work together

From mapping out your complaints to further support as needed. Your wellbeing comes first.
  1. 1

    Questionnaire

Before your first consultation, you fill in a detailed questionnaire. You receive this questionnaire by email with the confirmation of your appointment.

  2. 2

    First consultation

In the first consultation, the intake, we go through the questionnaire you filled in, so that I get a complete picture of your situation. During the conversation we discuss your complaints, and I explain how the female hormones work and what happens during menopause. Together we look at which possible solutions suit you. There are various ways to reduce your complaints, such as practical tips, advice on lifestyle and nutrition, and recommendations for supplements or hormone treatment. It is essential that you get a plan that matches your needs and is achievable for you.

If it turns out that other care providers, such as your GP, gynaecologist or physiotherapist, are better suited for certain complaints, I will discuss this with you and refer you. I am not authorised to prescribe medication myself. But where needed, I can advise your GP on hormone treatment and continue to guide you once the hormone treatment has started.

  3. 3

    Follow-up consultations

In the follow-up consultations we mainly focus on how things have gone since the first consultation. We discuss any adjustments that are needed and take the time to go into them thoroughly. I also explain the long-term health risks that menopause brings and we discuss what can be done about them.

Three months after starting hormone treatment, we evaluate how it has gone and whether any adjustments are needed. We do this again after six months.

  4. 4

    Further support as needed

In general, two to three consultations are often enough to move forward positively again. Of course, this depends on your wishes and situation. If you would like extra guidance, coaching or advice, an additional session is always possible.

Your wellbeing comes first, and I am here to support you in the way that suits you best.
