about me

Saskia Rotman

‘Both matter: the visible and measurable, and what plays out beneath the surface.’

Over the years I have learned a great deal from and through others, and in terms of content too. I can now honestly say that the work I do today suits me completely.

After working in the corporate world for many years, I wanted to return to what truly drives me: contributing to the development, health and wellbeing of others.

In recent years I trained in systemic work, among other things, and followed various additional and in-depth courses. I learned to work with a wide range of coaching methods. And most importantly: I learned how to use myself as the most valuable instrument in coaching and guidance.

I also renewed my BIG registration as a nurse, and I am currently training to become a menopause consultant. This allows me to offer suitable advice, coaching and guidance. I combine my holistic approach with medical knowledge, focused on women in menopause.

When advising and supporting organisations, my many years of experience in the corporate world come in handy: I know the challenges of (everyday) practice and I speak the language.

the name

The name Oya Vesta

Oya Vesta combines two goddesses from mythology, each with a meaning that fits exactly what happens during menopause.

Oya

Comes from the Yoruba tradition and is the goddess of wind, storms and lightning. She stands for profound change: she blows away what has had its time, making room for something new.

Vesta

Comes from Roman mythology and stands for the home and the inner hearth. She represents safety and homecoming, and the inner fire that keeps burning.

Oya and Vesta symbolise what my practice stands for: resiliently moving along with the changes that menopause brings. In a way that feels as comfortable as possible for you, and without losing yourself. I guide and coach you along the way.
